Polar animals.
2nd Dec 2023
This week, we learned all about polar animals in our classroom. We sorted animals into their different habitats and played with our polar animal toys in sensory play, using pretend snow. We read a book all about polar animals and were able to press buttons on the sound book to hear what noises they make. Art was great fun as we tried printing penguin and polar bear paw prints in the snow using potatoes. We even made a masked out print of a big polar bear using our hands as paintbrushes. There was also a little bit of face painting happening too :) During food play, some of us made snowmen and dinner for a polar bear. Outside on our morning wellie walk, we discovered lots of frost and ice on the ground, grass and plants and we had a brilliant time crunching our feet on the hard grass and breaking the ice puddles with our wellies. What a great week!
