Our children made their Confirmation in our local church in Walshestown. It is the first time Confirmation has been celebrated as far as we know in this church.

MARKING AN HISTORIC DAY IN WALSHESTOWN PARISH

On Saturday the 11^th of September 2021, for the first time in the history of Clogherhead & Walshestown Parish, Confirmation was celebrated in the smaller church - Ss Peter & Paul's, Walshestown by Fr Martin McVeigh PP. Due to a recent government directive , the capacity of churches has been increased to 50% making it possible to have this historic Confirmation ceremony for the children of St Paul's N.S. in their local Church. Congratulations to the children,

their families, Fr Martin PP, their teacher Mr Garland, the Principal Ms Swinburne on celebrating such a special historical day.

The children and their families came back to the school afterwards for some light refreshments organised by the Parents Committee . We all had a wonderful time and all the children looked beautiful.
