Congratulations to our 6th Class students who were conferred on Saturday with the Sacrament of Confirmation in St.Michael’s Church in Clogherhead.
As always a very special word of thanks to the student’s parents, family members, and sponsors who played such an important role in the lead-up and during the ceremony. Míle buíochas also to Mr Garland for his help in the preparation, guidance, and support of this wonderful group of children. Well done to our talented students Ellen MacMahon, Niamh Clinton, Abbie Wogan and Lily McKeever who created the art posters that decorated the alter. We are incredibly proud of you.
A very sincere thank you to Bishop Michael Router who confirmed the children. It was our privilege to have Bishop Michael officiate and share this special celebration in the children’s lives. We thank him for a lovely ceremony and for visiting our school after the ceremony. He was very complementary of the school spirit shown by our school community with the friendly welcoming spread that the Parents Committee put on for the 6th class children, parents, families and friends. Thank you to all the school staff and parents who set up the hall on Friday and who served the teas, coffees and nice things on Saturday. Thank you to both Ms Hand and Ms Byrne who facilitated the streaming of the Confirmation for family members who couldn’t attend the church due to space restrictions. Our school community sincerely appreciates you all who give your time on Saturday to support our children on such a special day. Thank you also to Fr. Martin who assisted and again added so much to Saturday’s celebrations.
