Autumn is here! π¦ππ
We loved going outside to look for signs of autumn, using our checklist to tick off different natural objects as we found them. This included pinecone, leaves of all colours, berries, mushrooms and some chestnuts. We looked at them under a microscope and sorted them into categories. We made lovely 'autumn jars' and looked for little autumn animals amongst all the leaves in the sensory tubs.
Our story 'Don't Hog the Hedge' helped us learn about hibernation, and we then made little hedgehogs using clay and matchsticks.π¦π¦ We played with autumn themed puzzles, matched autumn animals to their names, and did lots of painting and sensory play around the theme. πππ
