A visit from Dogs Trust 🐕
20th Oct 2022
On Wednesday we had the pleasure of welcoming Audrey and her assistant Bruno to our school. Audrey taught the children from Junior Infants to Sixth Class how to care for their pet dogs and also how to show respect to dogs we meet out and about. The children learned all about how dogs communicate with us through their body language and identified some of their signals to show stress, happiness, playfullness and anger. We learned to give dogs space if they are eating, sleeping or scared, especially if it is a dog we don't know. It was a very engaging and informative workshop!
