🌟 Celebrating Our Past Pupils! 🌟

We were very proud to welcome back two former students, Padraic and Megan Connor, who returned to Walshestown N.S. with their championship cups!

🏆 Padraic’s Achievement
Padraic was part of the Minor Championship B–winning team, who secured victory against the St. Kevins/Lann Léire amalgamation in a thrilling final. In an exciting closing spell, the Dreadnots showed incredible composure, coming from behind to claim the win in the last ten minutes.
This marks only the second time in the club’s history that they have won the Louth Minor B Football Championship, the previous triumph being in 2019.

🏐 Megan’s Achievement
Our past pupil Megan Connor was a member of the Dreadnots GFC Ladies’ Junior team, who won the 2025 Louth Ladies LGFA Junior Championship.
The team delivered a dominant and high-intensity performance against Dundalk Gaels in the final on September 28th, 2025. Their victory bridges a 12-year gap since their last adult championship success and secures their return to Intermediate grade next season.

👏 We are incredibly proud of both Padraic and Megan for their outstanding achievements and for continuing to inspire our school community. Well done to you both!
